In Progress Cardboard Chair

Here is how my chair developed after several painfully long hours of working with it. I found that as I continued with the construction, my process and actual design got modified. Thus, my final 3 dimensional product is slightly altered from my original idea, but I like the way it turned out better than my first concept. I think my design actually became stronger as I worked through the structural issues.

At first I thought I could just spread the 6 panels and have a seat cover, but the panels weren't strong enough to bare my weight when I (gently) attempted to sit on it

This is my structural solution, I doubled up the middle two panels and added cross sections

SO MANY SLOTS! I had a huge pile of cardboard spaghetti at the end of my construction.

And it all comes apart!
