Objectified Reflection
After watching the film Objectified I learned that design is not just a process, but a tedious journey to a variety of workable solutions. It is more than finding a single outcome; design is looking at a problem and working through series of thinking and making and testing to finally come to a solution that fits. As the movie referred to it, designers must work to find the correct "problem-solution pair." I was surprised to see how much effort went in to designing simple, everyday objects that most people take for granted -- a pair of ergonomically correct gardening shears, for example. Overall I would rate this movie a 4 out of 5 because I found the concepts about design fascinating and the information was presented in a way that kept the viewer interested.
