Owl Critique #1
For my VISC 204 Visual Concepts class we had to draw a certain animal based on a number of different criteria. For each category we had 12 or more different examples. For the critique we laid them out in a grid and hung them all together on the wall. Overall the critique went really well. I had more than the minimum and I feel like the set looked strong all together. Some of the categories were challenging, but after enough time sitting at my desk or on the floor I managed to crank the owls out. For the critique, it was awesome to see the entire room (all four walls and every table top) taken over by page after page of black and white animals. There are several people doing owls in both sections of the class. This fact upset and discouraged me at first, but then I realized everyone has a different problem solving process so none of the owls will end up close to each other. Plus, it's neat to see how the other owl-students depicted them.
